Food Service Assistant (Substitute) On-Call

On-call substitute position working Monday through Friday as needed.

About the role

Under the direction of an assigned Cafeteria Manager, prepares, warms and serves hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned school; maintains kitchen and food service areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.

Requirements

• At least six (6) months of experience in school, commercial, institutional or retail foodservice, or manufacturing
• High school graduation or equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade (desired but not required)
• Possession of or ability to pass a ServSafe® (or equivalent) food handler certification test within the first six months of employment

Pay

Hourly rate: Step 1: $20.09 - Step 5: $24.14

Schedule

Monday through Friday, on-call as needed.

Testing Procedure

The examination process will consist of a written examination. Testing may occur every two weeks, depending on the number of qualified applicants and scheduling needs. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.
