Food Service Assistant - Central Regional Hospital

About the role

We are currently recruiting for Food Service Assistants at Central Regional Hospital. These positions will be cross trained throughout Nutrition Services as appropriate. The primary purpose of these positions is to prepare and serve food from all stations throughout the Nutrition Services Department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food from all stations throughout the Nutrition Services Department.
• Check patient trays and snacks for proper food items, correct portion size, consistency, preference, and deliver to different units, wards or dining room throughout the hospital.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area to include all pots, pans and cooking utensils are clean and sanitized properly, and cardboard and trash are emptied.

Requirements

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Experience serving and/or preparing food in a commercial or institutional kitchen.

Qualifications

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

Skills

Knowledge of food service operations and procedures.

Pay

Pay Grade: NC01
Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $48,810.00
Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $37,252.00

Schedule

8-Hour Shifts
5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
10:15 a.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Including alternating weekends and holidays; however, flexibility with work schedule is required to meet training requirements and hospital needs.
