Duties And Responsibilities
- Learns and performs various duties throughout the kitchen including but not limited to food preparation, front of the house assistance, checker stand coverage, dining room cleaning, and dish room assistance.
- Ensures that assigned workstation is clean, sanitary, and well organized.
- Interacts with guests & customers at meals with professionalism, service and grace, upholding the customer service expectations of Cornerstone University.
- Provides customer feedback to the Food Service Director.
- Train and develop student workers
- Maintain set standard of quality and safety
- Ability to handle pressure, multi-tasking, and some weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years food service experience
- Food Handler Certification, preferred
- Food Allergy Certification, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills

- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment.
- A theology that supports the values and mission of Cornerstone University core commitments evidenced by an ability to affirm and sign the university’s doctrinal statement, “The Cornerstone Confession.”
- Four other foundational pillars, along with the university’s mission and confession, form Cornerstone’s Core Commitments.
- Employees are expected to faithfully attend an evangelical and biblical church whose core beliefs and practices are consistent with Cornerstone’s confession and core commitments.
