Food Service Aide Full time

About the Role

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise is hiring a Food Service Associate to support the Food and Nutrition Services Department. This position prepares and assembles food items for patients on regular and modified diets, cafeteria customers, and hospital patients. Associates deliver and retrieve patient food trays, perform cleaning procedures on food service equipment and work areas, and may shuttle food products to off-campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assembles food items for patients on regular and modified diets, as well as for cafeteria customers.
• Delivers and retrieves patient food trays.
• Serves food items to cafeteria customers.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas.
• Assists in the dish room as needed.
• Operates equipment used by Food Service staff.
• Disassembles and reassembles machines to keep equipment clean.
• May shuttle food products to off-campus locations (requires a valid Idaho Driver’s License and clean driving record).

Requirements

• Competency in basic reading and oral communication.
• Previous food service experience is helpful but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Schedule

This position is full-time, requiring at least 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends, weekdays, and holidays and is subject to change.
