Food Service Aide Full-Time

About the role

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for safe food handling, following sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines, and HACCP plan
• Complete cleaning duties, pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping
• Assist patients in completing menu selections, offering alternatives in accordance with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences
• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, print and distribute reports, tallies, menus, and meal tickets
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned, including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare or restaurant experience
• Commitment to customer service
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside the culinary team and leaders

Pay

$17.23 - $21.00 per hour, based on years of experience
