About the role
The Food Service Aide performs tasks related to the preparation, assembly, distribution, pick-up, and clean-up of patient and visitor meal trays.
Responsibilities
- Serve attractive, well-garnished, and well-organized patient trays with accuracy and speed.
- Maintain proper food temperatures consistently.
- Dissemble and clean tray line.
Requirements
- Educational Requirements: High school or equivalent required. Knowledge of proper body mechanics desirable.
- Experience Requirements: Previous food service experience helpful; Hospital/health care setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Work involves considerable standing and walking; some lifting, stooping, and bending; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; must be able to understand and follow instructions; may be required to work evenings/weekends/holidays; must have home telephone; exposure to hot plates and possible wet floors.
