Food Service Aide

About the role

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Food Service Aide (FSA) / Dietary Aide to join our dedicated team at our location in Saddle Brook, NJ. This position offers full-time employment with weekday and weekend shifts, including competitive compensation ranging from $18.75 to $23.79 per hour based on experience, plus a shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
• Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors, and assisting in clean up.
• Provide quality work, show knowledge of the job, and make good decisions.
• Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
• Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
• Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
• Demonstrate reliability and dependability in your work.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Skills

• Knowledge of food service operations.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Attention to detail.

Pay

$18.75 - $23.79 per hour based on experience, plus a shift differential.
