About the role
The Food Aide supports the daily operations of the dining unit by providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring accurate cash-handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assists the supervisor with opening and/or closing procedures
- Restocks supplies
- Trains part-time staff
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Contributes to a positive dining experience for guests
- Ensures efficient, high-quality service throughout each shift
Requirements
- Schedule varies based on unit assignment and operational needs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
- Regular physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Preferred: Experience in basic food preparation and related food service work, with strong customer service skills.

Benefits
This is a full-time position with a schedule determined by the unit’s hours of operation, which may include occasional weekends. Limited or no hours may be scheduled from mid-May through mid-August unless additional work is available.
Pay
$13.00 - $17.00 hourly
