Food Server -Asian Cuisine

About the role

Serve food and beverage items per guest requests according to established service standards and to satisfy the guest. Assures all tables are clean and properly set. Set up serving stations according to checklist. Answer questions regarding food preparation and make menu suggestions. Observe diners to respond to any additional requests.

• Use P.O.S. System when necessary
• Handle service trays, glass racks, and china trolleys as needed
• Handle and maintain soda/liquid beverage dispensers
• Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
• Adhere to proper cleanliness and sanitation standards as set forth by ServSafe
• Initiate a positive guest experience by providing a welcome and/or greeting, making eye contact, describing food offerings, smiling, and bidding a warm farewell

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Pay

Starting pay $4.25 an hour, based on experience.
