FOOD SAFETY SPECIALIST III - DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND REHABILITATION - DOWNTOWN, OAHU

Duties

Conducts site visits to ALL 8 correctional facilities on Oahu (4) and the neighbor islands (4) to conduct sanitation inspections and audits.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization To Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree in one of the physical or biological sciences.
• Professional Specialized Experience: One and one-half (1-1/2) years professional inspectional or investigational work experience involved in the interpretation and application of the laws, regulations in public health.
• Relevant Substitutions: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
• Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement: Must not have engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility or other institution, or been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse.
