About the role
The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring plant FSQA processes, managing process control and quality checks, evaluating quality reports, implementing corrective measures, leading Quality teams, providing training, leadership, and coaching, managing project budgets, coordinating audits, and enacting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor process control, raw and packaging materials, quality checks, and GMP compliance.
- Analyze and evaluate various quality reports and trends, developing corrective actions and pro-active plans as needed.
- Provide training and coaching to assigned Quality Technicians and employees as required.
- Lead an environment of continuous improvement to maximize operating efficiencies with adherence to all quality standards.
- Interact with outside governmental agencies, USDA, FDA, and State Department of Agriculture, as directed or required.
- Coordinate internal audit requirements as directed or required.
- Create and manage assigned budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field required.
- At least 5 years of food/beverage quality systems experience.
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation.
- Successfully demonstrated interpersonal skills in dealing with employees at all levels.
- Appropriate business management acumen.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
