Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance across all manufacturing areas (raw materials, processing, finished products, storage, handling, shipping) and manage the development and implementation of HACCP programs.
- Approve raw materials for production through sampling and inspections and monitor packaging containers for quality and capacity.
- Cook up safety, discipline, and compliance with company policies and local/federal regulations, ensuring employee safety awareness.
- Cook up training programs for HACCP, GMPs, and other regulations, ensuring proper documentation and program adherence.
- Conduct preoperative sanitation inspections and take corrective actions for unsanitary conditions, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain raw ingredient programs, including sampling, testing, and reporting, to ensure conformance to specifications and finished product quality.
- Supervise, train, and develop subordinates, assist in FSQ policy development, and ensure regulatory compliance through audits and resolution of customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of five years related experience
- HACCP Certification preferred
- Knowledge of math, chemistry, statistical process control, and microbiology necessary
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations as well as product specifications
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; demonstrated problem solving ability
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing helpful
