Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician 5 - 2nd Shift

About the Role

Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in a food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Documenting and calculating results accurately.
• Taking corrective action, when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
• Handling additional assignments as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete Tyson paperwork.
• Leadership skills to motivate the hourly workforce.
• Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Math and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Ability to function well under stress.
• Flexibility to work where and when needed.

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
• Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Must be able to work in wet environment.
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently.
• Ability to climb step ladders and/or stairs.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.

Working Conditions

• Normal for a food manufacturing setting.
• Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.
• Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.

Pay

This position pays $24.15/hour and is paid weekly.

Schedule

This position works 2nd shift.
