Food Safety Compliance Assistant (USDA Facility)

Edgewood Locker is seeking a highly detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our team in a part-time role focused on food safety compliance within a USDA-inspected facility.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete food safety and HACCP records in compliance with USDA regulations.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely documentation.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformances in records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure sanitation and safety protocols are followed.
• Review and maintain USDA label approvals.
• Conduct regular training and retraining of the team on food safety requirements.
• Support internal audits and inspections as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of QA/HACCP experience or equivalent undergraduate degree.
• Prior experience working in an inspected facility or field is desired but willing to train the right person.
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Trustworthy and self-driven with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good handwriting and proficient computer skills.
• Sanitation-minded with a proactive approach to cleanliness and compliance.

Schedule

• Part-time: 20+ hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling available.
