Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. About the role
Under the direction of the Rise Assistant Manager, food runners serve meals to guests while ensuring a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Serves all guests according to established standards of service.
- Delivers all items in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assists servers and bussers with pre-bus and pre-set standards.
- Communicates customer requests to assigned server.
- Knowledgeable of restaurant seating plan, including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
- Knowledgeable of restaurant ordering and expediting systems.
- Communicates with kitchen expeditor; checks order duplicates for correctness; reports discrepancies.
- Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
- Familiar with all menu specifications and abbreviations.
- Handles and resolves guest concerns or relays complaints/compliments to the Assistant Manager on duty.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Adheres to food & beverage policies, procedures, state liquor laws, and related manuals.
- Promotes positive public and employee relations at all times.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in a high-volume food service restaurant; table service experience preferred.
- Must be able to carry trays weighing a minimum of 10 lbs. on one arm.
- Ability to deliver a service level that creates a positive, memorable entertainment experience for guests.
- Commitment to exceeding position responsibilities to support organizational goals.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English regarding duties and responsibilities.
- The department operates 24/7; must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment
- May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Fast-paced, hectic, and often crowded and noisy environment with constant exposure to the general public.
