Food Runner

About the Role

A Gator’s Dockside Food Runner is responsible for preparation, garnishing, plating, organizing, delivering, and following up on the quality of all food items served in the restaurant. Food Runners are expected to retain a current food safety certification and interact with management, hourly employees, and guests in a friendly manner to provide an ultimate dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the common kitchen area, including trash cans, hand washing sinks, floors, walls, shelves, refrigerators, storage coolers, ice machines, and soda machines.
• Follow all plating and presentation standards as outlined by trainers, manuals, and corporate policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for assigned workstations with attention to detail and timeliness.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties, such as washing dishes, portioning food, helping with prep items, and cleaning projects inside and outside the kitchen.
• Support front-of-house tasks, including assisting servers with drinks, seating tables, bussing tables, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining dining room floors.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner, addressing concerns and escalating them to management when necessary.
• Help maintain all common areas of the restaurant, including restrooms, dining room floors, kitchen floors, walls, shelving, sidewalks, windows, doors, games, ice and soda machines, drink stations, carpets, tables, chairs, and cabinets.
• Adhere to personal hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
