What This Role Is All About The Food Runner supports the front-of-house team by promptly delivering food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring orders are accurate, fresh, and presented properly. This role is essential in providing excellent guest service, maintaining efficient operations, and supporting servers and kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Be Doing Key Responsibilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables quickly and accuratelyVerify order details, including special requests and dietary restrictionsEnsure food presentation meets restaurant standards before deliveryAssist servers by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and refilling water as neededCommunicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staffMaintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and expo areasFollow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsProvide courteous, professional interaction with guests at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious restaurant or hospitality experience a plus, but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentStrong attention to detail and sense of urgencyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Work Environment & Schedule Fast-paced restaurant environmentEvening, weekend, and holiday availability is requiredStanding, walking, bending, and carrying trays throughout shift Compensation & Benefits (if Applicable) Hourly wage plus potential tip shareEmployee meal discountsFree ParkingHotel Discounts Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information How we reward you At Sonesta, we know showing up for our guests starts with showing up for our people.
