About the role

The Suite Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverage items from the kitchen to the guests in-suite. In this position, the runner should have an understanding of the content of the menu and ensures that food is delivered in a timely fashion. The runner should understand and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and help with the execution of area setup and breakdown.

Key areas of responsibility

• Ensures all food and beverage is properly delivered and/or stored
• Pick up food from the kitchen and deliver it to guests in-seat
• Knowledgeable on all menu offerings
• Follows set up and break down processes efficiently
• Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided
• Performs post event product inventory and restocks as needed
• Understands all event paperwork and reports
• Always exceeds guest expectations
• Adheres to location appearance guidelines
• Acts with a sense of urgency and professionalism
• Maintains prep and service areas
• Employs good safety and sanitation practices
• Follows responsible alcohol service policies
• Understands the importance of maintaining equipment
• Helps fellow employees whenever necessary

Essential job duties

• Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a desire to gain experience and work in the foodservice or hospitality industry
• An outgoing personality is preferred
• The candidate should have the ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experience
• The ability to communicate effectively by speaking and comprehending English, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance

Pay

$15/hr

Schedule

Part-time Evenings. Events include Concerts, Memphis Grizzlies games and University of Memphis Basketball games.
