About the role

Campus Auxiliary Services at SUNY Geneseo is seeking a Food Production Teammate to join their dynamic team. You will work in various roles within food preparation, service, and cleaning under the supervision of a higher-level employee.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of all foods, including meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food items using standardized recipes.
• Assists in serving food products with a positive attitude to customers.
• May assist with performing cashiering duties, collecting cash, and handling meal cards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, dining room, kitchen, and equipment.
• May wash pots and pans, operate the dish machine, and perform cleaning and sanitation duties.
• May clean tables, put chairs up and take them down, and put away stock (groceries).
• Expected to do any reasonable requests asked of them.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and lift heavy objects.
