About the role

Seeking an outgoing candidate who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and enjoys managing a group of employees focused on delivering a quality product to our customers. This role involves monitoring and engaging employees in all safety and performance initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed, meeting all delivery times timely.
  • Conduct daily work group meetings.
  • Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agency standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP).
  • Document and follow up on all department processes to implement improvements.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Guide, motivate, and develop staff within Human Resources policies.
  • Make the company’s values and management principles live in the department(s).
  • Manage productivity hours and costs; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations.
  • Participate in and support company-sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required.
  • One to three years of related work experience required.
  • Problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and lead others to achieve desired results and productivity goals.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.

Pay

$62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year.
