Operations Supervisor - Airline Catering

About the role

As one of three Operations Supervisors, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing daily production activities across cold food production, transportation, ramp, sanitation, and assembly departments (approx. 80 team members). This is your opportunity to make a real impact on quality, safety, and performance in a fast-paced environment. We need someone with strong communication skills who can lead and engage production teams to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and control staff to meet labour productivity and overtime targets
• Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.)
• Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements
• Maintain on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• 2–4 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or aviation operations required
• Bilingual skills strongly preferred
• Prior union environment experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead teams to achieve productivity goals
• Strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
