Food Production - RTE

Responsibilities

• Production/Packaging of various food items.
• Clean and sanitize food processing equipment.
• Load and unload production line.
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Notify a Production Lead or Supervisor when stepping off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Report all production waste/issues to Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Properly adjust production machines to ensure efficiency, quality and accuracy with minimal loss of product.
• Responsible for daily set-up and operation of production areas and operates machine to production standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supplies needed to process and package product.
• Follow formal work instructions and handwritten documentation of product specs.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, slip resistant footwear, safety glasses, lock out lock, hasp and tag.
• Learn the manufacturing and/or packaging process as assigned by following approved Job Cards (JC), work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.
• Complete all training requirements and maintain 100% compliance with all assignments.
• Maintain work areas and perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Job Card instructions.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
• Preferably food manufacturing machine operator experience.
• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical or food processing industries is preferred.
• Ability to receive instruction and follow directions.
• Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Efficient finger dexterity.
• Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
• Exercises judgment within specifically defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• May be asked to recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Constant Standing for extended periods of time at workstation or equipment.
• Frequent Stooping, Kneeling and/or Crouching – bending body, spine and/or legs.
• Frequent Twisting/Reaching – turning at waist and extending hands and/or arms in any direction.
• Repetitive Motions - frequent motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Occasional Pushing and/or Pulling – using upper extremities to exert force.
• Lifting – raising from lower to upper and/or moving objects horizontally – from 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. and more than 50 lbs. (with assistance).
