Food Production Frosting Lead - 2nd shift

About the role

The Food Production Lead oversees a production line of Food Production Associates in various areas of the food production department, including the Kitchen, packing area, and Frosting area. This role ensures adherence to company GMPs and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Machine Setup and Operation Guide in the Instructional Manual for the assigned area.
• Train associates as outlined in the Work Instructions in the Instruction Manual for the assigned area.
• Ensure associates adhere to break schedules, dress codes, and company GMPs, and prohibit personal items like cell phones on the floor.
• Reassign associates within the Food Production Department based on business needs.
• Familiarize yourself with product specifications and contact Quality Assurance if specs appear incorrect or incomplete.
• Maintain production quality, quantity, and labor standards for the assigned area.
• Follow procedures and SOPs for metal detection.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Food Production Management.

When in Kitchen

• Monitor mixers to ensure procedures are followed correctly and proper mix times are used.
• Keep wire-cutters and depositing equipment supplied at all times.
• Ensure daily housekeeping tasks are completed, including sweeping, cleaning tables, trash pickup, and cleaning mixers and warehouse areas around hoppers.

When in Packing Room

• Maintain the quality of products being packed on packing equipment.
• Ensure Packing Leads have the correct film and lot codes.
• Keep Horizontal and Vertical packing lines supplied at all times.
• Oversee daily housekeeping, including sweeping, cleaning tables, trash pickup, and wiping down packing equipment.

When in Frosting Area

• Maintain the quality of products being frosted on Multi-Drop and Frosting Machines.
• Ensure proper lot codes are captured and the correct frosting pattern and amount are applied.
• Maintain the standard pace for both Multi-Drop and Frosting machines.
• Ensure associates report to the line at the start of shifts and after breaks/lunches.
• Coordinate with the frosting machine lead to cover breaks and lunches if necessary.
• Oversee daily housekeeping, including sweeping, cleaning tables, trash pickup, and wiping down equipment.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for the entire shift (10-12 hours).
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and stoop.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with office equipment.
