Food Processing Packaging Associate

About the role

The Food Processor in the Cook Chill Department is an on-site position requiring regular attendance at the facility. This role plays a key part in preparing high-quality food products for Charlie’s Produce customers. The position focuses on safe, efficient handling of ingredients, operation of cook chill equipment, and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure, wash, trim, and prepare raw ingredients according to batch recipes
• Operate cook chill kettles, mixers, blenders, and portioning equipment
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
• Follow standardized recipes and production sheets with high accuracy
• Packaged finished products using vacuum seal or portion control systems
• Monitor product quality, consistency, and adherence to recipes and specifications
• Conduct and document required temperature checks

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production, commercial kitchens, or manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) is a plus
• Ability to read and follow recipes, batch sheets, and safety instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
