Food Prep Worker Intern

About the role

Arc Broward, a non-profit organization based in Sunrise, FL, is seeking food prep workers from their Culinary Arts program. They operate at 9 locations and provide 21 programs, including two social enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing contract meals in accordance with the daily/weekly menus.
• Assists in preparing food for catering events, at the direction of the Executive Chef.
• Keeps food and beverage service equipment and catering supplies clean and operating efficiently by enforcing adherence to operating instructions.
• Displays behaviors and attitude that cultivates and maintains relationships with staff, students, vendors, customers and agency co-workers.
• Maintains a safe, secure, legal, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing sanitation and quality of food preparation and service standards and procedures.
• Ensures sanitation of the kitchen and all service areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-Level Culinary Arts Certificate.
