About the role
The Lead Store Manager is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving store performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Tourstores and provides feedback to associates, communicating and collaborating with all levels regarding store operations.
- Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives, resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues.
- Maintains and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure they align with sales goals.
- Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy and promoting continuous learning.
- Respects individuals, builds high-performing teams, and fosters a culture of belonging.
- Works collaboratively, communicates with impact, and motivates and influences others.
- Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports the Walmart values.

Qualifications
- 2 years' college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
