About the role

The Lead Store Manager is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving store performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Tourstores and provides feedback to associates, communicating and collaborating with all levels regarding store operations.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives, resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues.
  • Maintains and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to ensure they align with sales goals.
  • Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy and promoting continuous learning.
  • Respects individuals, builds high-performing teams, and fosters a culture of belonging.
  • Works collaboratively, communicates with impact, and motivates and influences others.
  • Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports the Walmart values.
  • Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering various stakeholders.
  • Strives for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, and encouraging learning from mistakes.

Qualifications

  • 2 years' college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
