Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor

About the Role

As a Shift Supervisor at our Palm Springs International Airport location, you will ensure guest satisfaction through proper training of employees and adherence to company SOPs. You'll oversee team members performing tasks such as food preparation, stocking supplies, serving, cash-out procedures, training, cleaning, and greeting guests. Whether working in a national brand or a local concept, you'll create first-class experiences for travelers while upholding our service standards and fostering a safe, respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members, embodying a positive company image with courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming/uniform guidelines.
• Uphold company standards for food, beverage, service, and atmosphere while building positive customer relations.
• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival.
• Serve as a role model, providing accessibility to staff and developing leadership skills.
• Exhibit efficiency by working with urgency and consolidating tasks.
• Lead shifts in the absence of managers, acting with integrity and promoting company culture.
• Assist with cost management (food, beverage, labor), inventory, and operational procedures.
• Delegate duties, assign tasks, and follow up with team members.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the restaurant.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and assist with cash-out and POS training.
• Support management decisions and remain open to feedback.

Qualifications

• Practical supervisory experience in the hotel/restaurant industry preferred.
• Proficiency in restaurant functions: food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, policies, personnel management, and reporting.
• Ability to take direction, collaborate, and work in a high-energy, demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Strong self-motivation, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 environment.
• Excellent customer service and English communication skills.
• Self-starter able to prioritize and multitask.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics (English).
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.
