About the role
The role is under general supervision and reports to the Director of Food and Beverage. Responsibilities include assisting in all areas of Food & Beverage, coordinating with various departments, ensuring timely operations, and providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing and implementing Food and Beverage training programs, policies, and procedures.
- Take direction from leadership and organize and supervise part-time Food and Beverage staff.
- Coach employees and reward/recognize them.
- Utilize Catering software to create and BEOs, accurately compute menu costs, and manage inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service during events.
- Create schedules as needed and ensure food and beverage operations meet client satisfaction.
- Follow card handling policies and procedures, as well as other specific policies.
- Record keeping, report creation, and maintaining a Health Department score of 90 or higher.
- Exhibit attention to detail and consistency in service.
- Problem solve, plan, organize, and manage logistics.
- Enforce sanitation procedures and follow OSHA requirements.
- Oversee all food and beverage departments as needed.
- Perform any reasonable requests assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of experience in hospitality, servicing food and beverage.
- ServSafe certified within 1st 90 days.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in different departments based on events and importance.
- Attention to detail and service-oriented.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, mid-shifts, and early mornings.
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with other staff members.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs consistently.
- Basic arithmetic operations.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Office products, especially MS Excel.
- Experience with Clover POS system a plus.
