Food & Beverage Manager
About the role
Solé Miami is a recently renovated, full-service hotel featuring 222 guestrooms and condos. Here, guests enjoy the popular BALEENkitchen, a bar, beach access, and pool service. We are seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to work side by side with the team on the floor, focusing on high-end service training and improving fine details while mentoring and coaching staff.
You will be well-versed in wines, collaborate with the Culinary team on daily specials, and contribute creatively to wine pairings, specialty cocktails, and exclusive buy-outs. Administrative tasks include ordering, cost controls, payroll, and leadership functions such as training, coaching, and counseling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain floor presence throughout all outlets, including banquets, pool, and beach.
- Monitor and develop team member performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
- Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage services and maximize revenue.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training team members.
- Handle administrative functions in all areas of the F&B Division.
- Monitor financial performance of all outlets daily, weekly, and monthly; provide solutions to improve problem areas and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain and program all F&B systems.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar leadership position in Food & Beverage within a hotel operation.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and non-verbal) with fluency in English.
- Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in hospitality management or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of F&B Operations, including Restaurant and Bar management, Pool & Beach, Banqueting, In-Room Dining, Culinary, and Stewarding.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Passion for excellence in guest service and satisfaction.
- Approachable, open-minded, and fair; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of colleagues and managers.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods during shifts.
