You are responsible for supporting daily food and beverage operations while serving inspired dishes and beverages in a welcoming, expertly maintained atmosphere. Your leadership, attention to detail, and food and beverage expertise help the team create unmatched dining experiences for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Supports the food and beverage team in delivering exceptional guest service.
- Aids in coordinating daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift assignments, breaks, and side work.
- Provides direction and support to team members throughout the shift.
- Takes guest orders and serves food and beverage items in accordance with established service standards.
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages using proper recipes, techniques, and presentation standards.
- Enters orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicates special requests or dietary needs to the culinary team.
- Maintains current knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, menu changes, and sold-out items.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization, appropriate stocking levels, and readiness for service in the dining and bar areas.
- Solves guest concerns promptly and professionally and escalates concerns to management when appropriate.
- Processes guest payments using proper accounting and cash-handling procedures.
- Maintains compliance with applicable food safety, alcohol service, liquor, and workplace safety requirements.
- Trains new team members on service standards, procedures, Point of Sale functions, and property expectations.
- Communicates operational needs, guest concerns, and team member issues to management.
- Performs serving, bartending, and other food and beverage duties as needed to support the operation.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of food and beverage service experience, including bartending experience.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Working knowledge of restaurant, dining, and beverage service procedures.
- Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktail preparation, and mixology techniques.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system and other required equipment.
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws, food safety regulations, and standard cash-handling procedures.
- Strong leadership and guest-service skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain composed and provide direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet the legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Current State Food Handler’s License and required alcohol service certification or permit.
