Food & Beverage Lead
Job Overview
We're seeking a Food & Beverage Lead who excels in both server and supervisory roles. This hybrid position combines elements of a server and a lead/supervisor, offering a higher base wage for support roles.
What You’ll Do
Guest-Facing (Server) Responsibilities:
- Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service standards/SOPs.
- Engage guests with genuine hospitality; answer menu and beverage questions confidently.
- Operate the POS accurately for orders, payments, and check management.
- Ensure food and drink quality before serving—verifying appearance, temperature, and portion.
- Complete opening/closing sidework and maintain clean, well-stocked stations.
- Collaborate with the team; assist teammates as needed to deliver seamless service.
Lead/Supervisory Responsibilities (When Assigned):
- Shift Leadership: Supervise restaurant, bar, and room service/in-room dining during your shift; maintain standards, pacing, and cleanliness across FOH areas.
- Service Standards & Guest Recovery: Monitor service cues; jump in to resolve issues, comp/void with authorization, and turn challenges into positive outcomes.
- Opening/Closing: Execute checklists, secure cash banks, reconcile end-of-day paperwork, submit shift notes/logs, and ensure areas are set for success.
- MULTI-TASKING: Serve as Manager-on-Duty as scheduled—coordinate with Front Office, Culinary, Engineering, and Housekeeping; respond to safety incidents and guest escalations; document and communicate via the logbook.
- Team Support & Training: Lead pre-shift huddles, coach in the moment, onboard new team members, and reinforce SOPs, menu knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold health, sanitation, and safety standards; conduct temperature logs and opening/closing compliance checks.
- Inventory & Purchasing Support: Assist with counts, par levels, receiving, and organization of supplies and product.
- Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling inputs, labor awareness, and workload balancing as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
- Other duties as assigned to support an exceptional guest and associate experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Prior restaurant serving experience required; previous lead/supervisory experience strongly preferred (hotel F&B experience a plus).
Strong knowledge of service standards, guest recovery best practices, and responsible alcohol service.
Comfortable operating POS systems and handling basic cash/close procedures.
Knowledgeable in basic health/safety and employment policy practices; ServSafe/Food Handler and responsible alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain).
Meets legal age requirements to serve alcohol in Colorado and complies with all state/local regulations.

Physical & Schedule Requirements
Able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods.
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs (occasionally more with assistance).
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
