The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signage. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and leading food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
• Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage standards.
• Execute processes such as food deliveries, replenishment, merchandise straightening, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set, maintain, and update salesfloor merchandise displays and keep backroom space organized.
• Locate and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to Target’s policies.
• Assist guests by being knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services.
• Execute federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) while maintaining compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Skills

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture in Food & Beverage.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage business fundamentals: sales trends, inventory, quality, freshness, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions.
• Understanding of food seasonality, freshness, quality, safety standards, and merchandising.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Work in environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F.
• Work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.75 USD per hour.
