About the role

The Rental Events Operations Manager is a member of the strategic and efficient cross-functional Special Events team responsible for the successful delivery of rental events, along with other internal and external special events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational and logistical aspects of rental events
  • Help maintain strong client relationships
  • Supervise on-call special events staff
  • Exercise independent judgement by making all necessary operational decisions for rental events, particularly during non-museum hours
  • Communicate the client's needs and expectations to the museum's operational departments, while enforcing the museum's policies with the client
  • Maintain profitable budget margins by working in close collaboration with the Rental Events Sales Manager and the Assistant Director of Rental Events

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing rental events
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event management or operations
