Food and Beverage Manager
Position Summary
Still Waters Resort is seeking an experienced and service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our diverse dining venues while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This leadership role is responsible for managing restaurant operations, staff development, food and beverage quality, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and operational excellence across multiple outlets.
Essential Responsibilities
Direct and oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.
Ensure each venue consistently delivers outstanding food quality, beverage service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Maintain high standards for guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor restaurant flow, staffing levels, and service efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop food and beverage team members.
Schedule staff to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused team culture.
Lead by example through visible, hands-on leadership during operating hours.
Financial Management
Manage departmental budgets and achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Control food, beverage, and labor costs.
Monitor inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste.
Review daily sales reports and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
Aid with menu pricing, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
Oversee alcohol service in accordance with applicable laws and responsible beverage service practices.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and service standards.
Guest Experience
Create memorable dining experiences that enhance the overall resort stay.
Respond professionally to guest feedback and implement service improvements.
Work collaboratively with other resort departments to support special events, group functions, and resort activities.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience.
Multi-unit restaurant or resort management experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Experience with inventory management, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
Ability to analyze financial reports and implement operational improvements.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business needs.
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Resort, hotel, or hospitality management experience.
ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
Alcohol service certification.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
