Food and Beverage Manager
About the role
The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the restaurant and manage evening events. Responsibilities include training employees, managing work schedules, ensuring food and beverage safety, and handling guest issues.
Responsibilities
- Train employees and direct work assignments
- Evaluate employee performance and address complaints
- Ensure compliance with daily operational procedures
- Maintain food and beverage safety and quality
- Establish and train departmental standards and procedures
- Respond to and handle guest-related issues
- Communicate with General Manager and other managers
- Manage employee performance to ensure productivity and quality work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
- Effective communication skills with guests, management, and co-workers
- High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS)
- Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
- Ability to write reports and perform calculations
- Ability to prepare budgets and ensure cost controls
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions
