What You Will Do
- Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Trinity Health in behaviors, practices, and decisions
- Work with the VP to identify and cultivate partners and opportunities to engage within the hospital departments and community, with a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with a range of healthcare providers and community based healthcare organizations, and local authorities
- Work as part of a team to start and support opt-out testing for HIV/HCV/Syphilis
- Conduct community outreach and health education around FOCUS and act as a bridge to entry or re-engagement in the care delivery system
- Conduct educational presentations health related topics at community locations
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven success developing and executing communications strategies and campaigns
- Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques, and able to stay ahead of the curve
- Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written
- Experience working with LGBTQOC communities
- Strong problem solving, ability to meet deadlines and achieve quality results
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other database and data visualization tools
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health
- Ability to work with multiple departments to achieve outcomes
Education And Experience
- College graduate required
- At least 3 years of experience working with vulnerable and at-risk communities
- Ability to speak more than one language, preferred
- Ability to run computer reports, collate data, and prepare reports
- Must be able to read, write and speak proficiently in both English and other language if applicable
- The candidate must have experience with the healthcare community
- Excellent customer service skills are also required
- Experience a non-judgmental, empathetic, caring individual with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, communicate openly, demonstrate confidentiality and respect for clients of all racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic, sexual preference and gender orientation
- Must be open minded, flexible, responsible, engaging, and self motivated
- Needs to be comfortable talking to varied audiences, including physicians, nurses, technologists, LGBTQ+, seniors
