Overview
The FOCUS Center Scheduler is a project management technical expert (TE) who supports ongoing U.S. Army and NATO training missions. Key responsibilities include analyzing failure data, coordinating maintenance, and improving organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains maintenance (preventative and ad-hoc) and training project schedules and associated resource allocation, performance assessments, and reporting.
- Schedules maintenance at the regional level for sites aligned with the associated FOCUS Center and applies resources across the sites as needed to support maintenance and training activities.
- Performs Schedule Quality Assurance reviews in consultation with project and task leadership.
- Collects and implements schedule status, provides critical path analysis, implements baseline changes, and prepares monthly reports on resource utilization.
- Communicates schedule impacts and proposes corrective actions to applicable stakeholders.
- Presents the master schedule as required during Program/Project Management meetings.
- Establishes and enforces schedule guidelines for functional areas.
- Evaluates and makes process improvements to support Project Planning objectives.
- Supports TDP schedule development.
- Drafts and edits minutes, documents, letters, and other communications.
Qualifications
- Required Experience:
- Program Data & Reporting: Collects and analyzes data to support program reporting requirements. Inputs and updates data in InSITE or other MIS Suite systems. Maintains accurate and up-to-date program records and files. Uses standardized templates to support efficient project tracking and reporting. Conducts programmatic analysis, research, and data gathering to address ad hoc requests. Compiles, organizes, and prepares findings, summaries, and formal reports.
- Scheduling, Travel & Coordination: Manages calendars and schedules appointments and meetings for program staff. Coordinates travel arrangements and related logistics for program personnel. Drafts and edits meeting minutes, documents, letters, and other written communications.
- Personnel & Training Support: Assists with onboarding activities for new employees. Helps maintain personnel records, including training, certifications, and compliance documentation. Coordinates and tracks employee training sessions and related activities.
- Program Management Support: Provides proactive (unsolicited) and responsive (solicited) recommendations and status updates to program leadership. Helps establish and/or monitor program milestones, progress, risks, issues, and remedial actions in collaboration with the program team.
- Education/Experience: (2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree).
- Certification(s): None.
- Clearance: Active and Current U.S. Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
