Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a FNS Assistant to join our Food Services team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of food services for patients, including preparing meals, cleaning, and dish room duties.
You will join a team that cares like family and always works in a collaborative manner. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing various foods and beverages for patients
- Following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets
- Covering, labeling, and dating foods and storing them properly
- Preparing and setting up food and supplies in sufficient quantity
- Restocking as needed
- Minimizing waste and overproduction
- Acting in a cost-conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately
Job Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is required. Some kitchen experience is desirable.
