FNS Associate II PRN
About the role
The Food Service Associate (FSA) - II at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is responsible for maintaining the dishroom, janitor closet, and patient food carts in an organized, sanitary manner. They deliver food carts to patient floors, pass out trays, and return carts to the dishroom. The FSA II may also host, serve trays, and assist with dishwashing.
Responsibilities
- Accesses computer system for patient meal information and ordering.
- Reads patient meal tickets and prepares trays accurately.
- Assembles patient meals and places foods on trays accurately, according to instructions noted on the patient diet cards 98% of the time.
- Delivers patient meals and snacks in a timely, courteous fashion, ensuring that all meals are delivered no later than 8:20 a.m. for breakfast, 12:30 p.m. for lunch, and 5:45 p.m. for dinner.
- Retrieves soiled meal trays from patient rooms no later than 6:45 p.m.
- Prepares and delivers patient late trays.
- Cleans work station each shift, including beverage machines, dishes, sweeping & mopping.
- Dishwashing duties, including scraping, washing and restocking dishes as needed.
- Completes all cleaning tasks on department cleaning schedule according to assigned time frame.
- Following proper food safety and occupational safety rules.
Qualifications
- Required: None
- Preferred: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 6 months of food handling experience.
- Required: Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Williamson County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire date.
