About the role
Serves as a primary care provider in a rural hospital-based clinic, assessing, treating, and following up with assigned patients.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and provides appropriate care
- Treats patients according to established protocols
- Follows up with patients for ongoing care
- Interfaces professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with patients, staff, general public, and governmental agency representatives
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) program
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required
- Current California license, DEA license, and BLS certification required
- Two (2) years' experience in family practice in a rural healthcare setting preferred
- Exceptional new grads will be considered
- Geriatric experience desired
- Mid-level computer skills required for electronic medical records
