FM Engineering Ops Manager - Remote w/ Travel

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a FM Engineering Ops Manager - Remote w/ Travel to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will oversee facility operations and maintenance across assigned locations while guiding a team responsible for day-to-day service delivery. The position is focused on building strong operational discipline through effective scheduling, training, performance management, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will help improve preventive maintenance programs, support safe and efficient building systems, and serve as a key point of contact for contractors, technicians, tenants, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and oversee their training, development, and performance evaluations
• Manage team activities including scheduling, task assignments, and cross-training
• Handle operations and maintenance of assigned facilities while developing budgets
• Implement ongoing improvements to preventive maintenance programs and create safety manuals
• Act as the main contact for maintenance with contractors and technicians
• Oversee building systems and stay updated with technology trends
• Maintain communication with tenants, clients, and facility management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Preferred background in staffing, training, performance measurement, and employee retention
• Strong communication skills for handling sensitive and complex information
• Leadership abilities to motivate teams toward operational goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay

Compensation: $110,000 – $123,000 annually
