Flow Line Member - Direct

About the Role

Performs a wide range and variety of assembly, material handling, and quality inspection duties. Daily tasks include lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, pushing, pulling, squatting, standing, sitting, and walking.

Moves components and sub-assemblies to assigned work areas for processing by production employees and removes them as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts repetitively and rapidly.
• Visually inspect parts and assemblies for non-conformances as small as one-eighth of an inch across a distance of two feet.
• Lift and maneuver loads of up to 35 pounds within a range of zero to five feet vertically and twenty-five paces horizontally.
• Walk up to five miles in an eight-hour shift.
• Torque screws to twenty inch/pounds using a torque driver.
• Detect subtle differences in color and texture.
• Use hand air tools, manual tools, hand trucks, floor hoists, and other material-handling devices.
• Use measuring tools and maintain neat and accurate inspection records.
• Keep records as directed.
• Work overtime as scheduled.
• Learn to read and understand standard engineering drawings.

Requirements

• Ability to lift anywhere from ounces to 50 pounds repeatedly for the full work shift.
• Ability to be trained on two or more assembly operations during a work shift.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a handheld calculator.
