Basketball Coach and Resident Advisor – Florida Coastal Prep School: Florida Coastal Prep Position: Basketball Coach Organization: Prep School Description: Florida Coastal Prep is accepting applications for the position of Basketball Coach and Resident Advisor. This position works directly with our high school and post-grad teams. It is built to develop coaches who want a career in the basketball industry. Coaches at FCP are asked to solve problems, mentor young men, lead, plan, and keep a flexible schedule. You will leave with real coaching and operations experience. Primary Duties Housing supervision and dorm lifeFilming and video breakdownOn court instructionIndividual skill developmentStatistics and scouting reportsAssisting head coaches with practices and gamesEquipment managementTransportationDaily basketball operationsStudy hall and academic check-ins Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university preferred, not requiredPrevious experience working in college or high school athleticsMust be able to work evenings and weekends and maintain a flexible scheduleMust pass a background check and be comfortable working with student-athletes in a residential setting Preferred Qualifications Former college basketball player, manager, or coach at any levelPrevious coaching experienceDesire to build a career in college or high school athleticsExperience with video breakdown software such as Hudl or SynergyExperience working with international student-athletes Compensation Stipend commensurate with experienceHousingMeals Coaches must have a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
