Floral Fine Gardening Crew Member/Leader

About the role

We are seeking part-time and full-time crew members/leaders for our Floral and Fine Gardening Department at Glengate. This position offers opportunities to work on large and complex landscape projects, maintain highly regarded landscapes, and share best practices across our network of family companies.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of gardens and landscapes including but not limited to: deadheading, cutbacks, watering, fertilizing, staking and application of appropriate garden products as needed
• Rose care program
• Vegetable garden design, planting and maintenance
• Seasonal container and bedding design, planting and maintenance
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, bend and stand for long periods of time

Requirements

• Love of the outdoors and gardens
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong work ethic, demonstrable ability in prioritization
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Strongly preferred - at least 1 year experience maintaining perennial gardens, vegetable gardens, annual plantings, rose pruning
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus

Pay

The position range is $21/HR - $25/HR.
