FLORAL/DESIGNER

Responsibilities

• Design and merchandise floral items and arrangements for display/sale or in response to customer requests.
• Provide customer services.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years full-time retail design experience or 6 years part-time retail design experience.
• Florist Transworld Delivery certification required.
• Demonstrated aptitude for filling customer needs, and designing floral arrangements.
• Able to make intelligent decisions quickly.
• Able to handle stressful situations calmly, courteously, and tactfully.
• Past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidentiality regarding associate records is expected.

Qualifications

• Design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
• Greet customers, offer assistance, take and fill orders.
• Package orders cheerfully, effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Keep the department area clean and free from clutter.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
• Provide good customer and associate relations.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in location and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and Florist Transworld Delivery orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Provide good customer and employee relations.
• Able to effectively communicate with customers and associates.
• Make a neat, clean impression on customers.
• Promptly, tactfully, calmly, courteously, and professionally interact with customers and associates.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly in the area of maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
