About the role

Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships by guiding them through furnishing projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriching customer interactions
• Create elevated designs for customers using preferred design tools
• Conduct customer outreach and develop design packages to brand standards
• Ensure timely follow-up and project delivery
• Stay updated on brand aesthetics and product information
• Engage customers on the sales floor with selling skills
• Network and clientelize with customers to build lasting relationships
• Support store training and educate on design services

Requirements

• Understand basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles
• Have excellent, effective, and timely communication skills
• Be proficient in Google platforms, virtual communication, and design tools
• Staying up to date on current design trends

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service
• Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions

Skills

• Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing)
• Proficient in floor planning
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs

Pay

$40,000 - $50,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate design consultations and customer needs.
