About the role

Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships by guiding them through furnishing projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriched customer experiences by interacting with customers in-store, in-home, and virtually.
• Create and present design packages that align with brand standards.
• Conduct customer outreach and manage project timelines effectively.
• Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.
• Engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating selling skills and offering loyalty programs.
• Support store training and educate on design services.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through networking and clienteling.

Requirements

• Understand basic design functions such as spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles.
• Have excellent communication skills to convey the brand vision and understand customer needs.
• Show proficiency in technology tools like 2D and 3D design software, Google Suite, and video conferencing.
• Be able to adapt quickly to changes in the business and industry trends.
• Have 1+ years of relevant experience in furniture sales, home decor design, or retail/customer service.
• Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing).
• Proficient in floor planning.
• Ability to stay updated on current design trends.
