Flooring Installation Manager
About the role
Floor Coverings International Lehigh Valley is a locally owned, 5-star-rated flooring company that brings the showroom to customers' homes. Once a project is sold, you own it end to end: order materials, schedule installers, keep the homeowner informed, and see the job through to the final walkthrough. You are the customer's main point of contact during installation and the person our installers report to.
This role is a great fit if you are an experienced flooring installer ready to move off the tools and into management, or a project coordinator from flooring, remodeling, or a related trade who wants more ownership.
Responsibilities
- Plan each job: meet weekly with sales to review new projects, confirm customer expectations, and accurately order all materials
- Schedule and lead installers: book subcontracted crews, confirm scope and pay before work begins, and recruit new installers who meet our quality standards
- Own customer communication: confirm start dates, send daily progress updates, get written approval on change orders, and resolve concerns quickly
- Ensure quality on site: visit active jobs, handle minor repairs yourself, walk customers through the finished work, and collect final payment
- Hit profit targets: manage every job to its margin goal, complete job costing within 24 hours of completion, and keep the daily job log up to date
- Support the team: keep the showroom presentable, attend weekly meetings with the owner, and help at occasional home shows
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in flooring installation, flooring sales or operations, or residential construction project coordination
- Live within 30 minutes of the office (Easton, PA)
- Experience measuring jobs and ordering materials accurately
- Proven ability to manage multiple jobs at different sites simultaneously
- Confident, professional communication with homeowners, including difficult conversations
- Comfortable using computer- and app-based scheduling and reporting tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on installation experience with hardwood, LVP, carpet, or tile
- Experience supervising subcontractors or crews
Benefits
- $50,000 – $60,000 base salary plus performance bonus
- Retirement plan with company match
- Paid training and ongoing professional development
- Company card for job expenses
- Free uniforms
- Company parties
- Opportunity for advancement

About the owners
Gary and Leigh Ann bring decades of experience and a shared dream to their business in the Lehigh Valley. Gary spent almost 20 years with Sherwin-Williams, building deep knowledge of the products, people, and service that make a home or business look its best, followed by two and a half years at Norman Blinds & Shades. Leigh Ann spent 10.5 years in higher education marketing at the University of Pittsburgh, where she learned how to tell a story and build lasting relationships. When Gary's career took the family across the North Atlantic states, Leigh Ann stepped away from the workforce for nine years to keep their household moving. Through every move, one conversation kept coming up: someday, they wanted a business of their own. When it came time to put down roots in the Lehigh Valley, they explored several franchise opportunities before choosing FCI. The business model gave them room to grow while still letting them run their business the way they always pictured it: as a small, family-owned company where every customer gets personal attention. Today, Gary and Leigh Ann combine Gary's industry expertise with Leigh Ann's communication and relationship-building skills. They're excited to grow the business together in a community they love and are proud to call home.
