Floor Technician/Custodial/Flex Worker/

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Floor Technician in Williamson, NY to handle specialized floor care and support general custodial needs. This hands-on role focuses on carpet extraction, floor scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and refinishing using industrial cleaning equipment, along with basic cleaning tasks, especially on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks including scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, stripping, and refinishing hard floors
• Complete carpet care such as extraction, shampooing, spot cleaning, and vacuuming
• Operate industrial floor equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, and extractors
• Follow proper procedures for different floor types and surfaces
• Assist with general custodial duties including trash removal and basic cleaning as needed
• Work scheduled weekend shifts performing deep cleaning and floor maintenance
• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
• Remove trash, recyclables, and waste from assigned areas
• Clean and disinfect equipment, carts, and work areas
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial work, floor care, or commercial cleaning
• Ability to operate or learn industrial floor care equipment
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance
• Ability to work weekends (Saturday–Sunday) plus additional weekday shifts
• Comfortable performing physical labor including lifting, bending, and extended standing
• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals properly
• Good communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a floor technician or in facilities maintenance
• Experience with floor stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction
• Experience in commercial or industrial environments

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $21.00. This position is eligible for a $250 sign-on bonus, payable after 60 days of employment.
