Floor Technician
Xanitos, Inc. is hiring for 2nd shift Full Time Environmental Service Floor Care Tech at CHS Laredo Hospital, Laredo, TX.
About the Role
The successful applicant must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Experience in the janitorial industry and medical cleaning are preferred. Post-offer medical, background screening, and drug test are required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
- Monitors assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
- Cleans all corners, edges, and baseboards in the assigned areas.
- Dust mops all hard floor areas, cleaning behind doors and moving objects in the floor area that are movable.
- Removes all marks and scuffs on the floor.
- Damp mops floors with the proper assigned cleaning chemical or uses a scrubbing machine.
- Utilizes floor machines for project work as assigned.
- Burnishes floors using a high-speed floor machine as directed.
- Scrubs floors and strips floors as needed or assigned.
- May perform "Area Cleaner" job duties.
- May perform "Waste Disposal Technician" job duties.
Qualifications
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
- Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus.
- Medical cleaning experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
